The first spec is the cost, the Aer travel pack 2 is gonna run you $230 US Dollars. Let’s roll.Īlright, let’s talk about the specs of the Aer travel pack, and I wanna clarify, this is the Aer travel pack 2 that we’re talking about. Stick around to the end, if you like what we’re doing, smash that like button. These are the things that we’re gonna cover. I’ve included pictures of all the places the bag has started to wear over the past several months of usage.“What’ s up guys I’m Aaron Radcliffe with and we’re in Ho Chi Minh City and we’re about to do the best damn Aer travel pack review on the web. I’ve since started to wear the bag a little bit higher but it has taken away from the comfort of the bag and I’ve been forced to use the sternum straps more often. Ever since I started bringing this backpack to work, the back 2 loops of my pants have begun to fray. This may have to do with the fact that instead of using the sternum straps to redistribute weight, I normally just hang my arms off of them.Īnother thing I noticed is that after I started using this backpack, it has begun to wear away at my back belt buckle loops on my dress pants. Utilizing them really does help distribute weight but the elastic that is included with it had started to deteriorate only a couple of months after I started using the bag. I’m really glad that Aer was able to hit a stretch goal and add the removable sternum straps with each bag. To put things in perspective, when fully packed, my bag is around 13 lbs. The majority of this takes place with the stitching connecting the shoulder straps and the handle at the top of the bag. While the majority of the bag is made from 1680D ballistic nylon, there are multiple areas that have started fraying. In the office or walking around, these things are always readily available to me. Like many other bags out in the market, Aer has made a good decision in adding this pocket, where I usually keep my headphones, keys, phone charger, a bottle of ibuprofen, and a lens cleaning cloth. With the Aer Fit Pack, you have to put the item in one side then pull the other side of the bag over before you zip it.Īnother thing is that when you have nothing in the main compartment or the shoe pocket, the aesthetics of the bag diminish. With traditional backpacks, you just slip in the item and close it. While I believe that having one zipper down the middle allows you to access things at the bottom and the top of the bag, the utility is just a little bit inconvenient. The zippers are easy to reach and open and close seamlessly. On the rare occasion that I’m using this bag for a leisurely day and don’t have to carry an extra pair of shoes, I use the main compartment for a hoodie or to hold some small things that I buy on an excursion into NYC. That being said, the shoe pocket does exactly what it I wanted it to do: keep my office essentials from smelling like feet. So much so that I hardly ever put anything into the main compartment when I have a pair of shoes in the bag. I’m combining these two compartments into the same section because, as HL mentioned in his Aer Travel Pack review, one of the biggest problems with a dedicated shoe pocket is that it takes up a majority of the main compartment. Things that help a day in the office go by. That means all of my things get a little squished including my dress shoes. When it’s fully packed with my shoes, this pocket definitely gets a little snug after I zip it closed. The only gripe I have about this pocket is that I wish it was just a tad bigger. Because I use this bag almost 5 days a week, I can reach into it and take out everything I need without having to dig. When I get to work, it’s very nice to be able to open up my backpack and know exactly where everything is. It has a smaller interior pocket where I keep my wallet, pens, business cards, and a FiiO headphone amp. It has pockets for my 14” HP EliteBook laptop, its charger, a wireless Logitech mouse, a notebook, and a slot for papers. Office Essentials PocketĪs a work bag, the Aer Fit Pack has a dedicated compartment for everything I need. After using the backpack for about one year, I think it’s almost the perfect everyday work bag. The campaign ran back in 2015 and I received the bag at the end of 2016. When I found the Kickstarter campaign from Aer, it seemed to be the perfect match for what I wanted and decided to make it the first product that I ever backed on Kickstarter. Since I don’t have a dedicated desk at my office, leaving my dress shoes at my desk wasn’t an option. The Aer Fit Pack first caught my eye because I was looking for a backpack that has a separate compartment that could carry my dress shoes apart from my laptop so that my office essentials wouldn’t smell like feet. Aer Fit Pack set free in the subways of NYC.
